Imagine being a child who has been abused, abandoned, or both.
Imagine living in a hospital room for months, even years, because your family is incapable or unwilling to care for you.
Imagine being a medically fragile child with
no home,
no family,
no future,
no hope.

Thousands of medically fragile children are living this existence. After suffering an illness, accident, abuse or neglect, they are abandoned by their families or removed from their home and placed in state custody. There are not enough trained foster families, or state-supported group homes and no formal community training program to teach families or care givers how to provide home care for these special children. These children are forced to remain in their abusive, neglectful homes or endure prolonged hospitalizations because there are no other options. For these children, there was no place that supports the quality of life every child deserves.

All children want the same thing — a loving home where they are cared for and valued. For these homeless, medically fragile children, a home and family are just a dream. We want to be the place where these dreams come true. We are committed to saving medically fragile children from an institutional existence or abusive situation by providing a therapeutic, family-centered home where they can live and grow - physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
